Senior Parole Officer Laura Schreck graduated in 1997 from the Basic Course for Parole Officers, Cycle 13. Upon graduation Senior Parole Officer Schreck was assigned to District Parole Office #4 in Jersey City. While assigned to the Jersey City District Senior Parole Officer Schreck supervised parolees in Hudson County and was later selected as the West District Liaison working closely with the Jersey City Police Department and assigned a warrant caseload of parole fugitives. Senior Parole Officer Schreck organized and led a 2 week fugitive apprehension operation in 2000 after which Senior Parole Officer Schreck and officers from District Parole Office 4 received an award from the New Jersey Narcotics Enforcement Officers Association. For the past 4 years, Senior Parole Officer Schreck has been assigned to the Division of Parole 's Electronic Monitoring Unit predominantly supervising sex offenders and served as an acting Sergeant of the Unit from August 2005 until June 2007. Senior Parole Officer Schreck was instrumental in the development of the Division of Parole 's GPS Monitoring Program of sex offenders in New Jersey. Senior Parole Officer Schreck holds numerous instructor certifications and is currently an instructor assigned to Somerset County Police Academy. Senior Parole Officer Schreck holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Felician College and a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from New Jersey City University.
