The Caterpillar Café

Teachers, parents and students have created a new space at The Children’s Campus at RVCC.  They have planted a butterfly garden which has been certified by Monarch Watch as Monarch Waystation #2020, providing nectar and host plants for the Monarch butterflies on their migratory journey from Canada to Mexico and back each year.  The children will be able to observe the life cycles of the Monarch and many other butterflies throughout the spring, summer and fall, as well as the life cycles of the plant materials in the garden.  For more information on butterflies and butterfly gardens, go to www.MonarchWatch.org or to www.JourneyNorth.org.
