    RVCC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (Region XIX) and the Garden State Athletic Conference. The College offers varsity competition in soccer, golf, baseball, basketball, and softball. RVCC has been represented at the state and national levels in many sports, enabling students to compete for athletic scholarships at four-year colleges and universities.     
     
  • Business Club
    Explores modern business practices and provides networking opportunities for students with local business men and women, guest speakers, conferences, career fairs and field trips to Wall Street, NYSE, etc.
     
  • Campus Crusade for Christ
    Consists of a group of believers coming together from all different denominations to serve as a community of fellowship, worship, witness and training through Bible study, worship, group meetings and discussions.

  • Club Unity
    Raises and instills unity, respect, sound leadership and cultural pride of a multicultural student base and eliminates ignorance due to prejudice and stereotypes.  Club Unity raises cultural awareness through dance remembering that the roots of its organization stemmed from the rich African culture.

    Brings together students interested in game development to enhance their creative skills through team oriented activities that build upon creative individual and group skills.  
     
  • International Club
    Encourages campus-wide appreciation for students of diverse cultural backgrounds, their contributions and history.
     
  • Intramurals
    Provides students with an opportunity to participate in sports-related activities. Less demanding than inter-collegiate athletics, intramurals provide an opportunity to socialize while keeping fit through exercise. Intramurals are established based on the input of students.
     
  • Literary Club
    Promotes interest in literature and writing through various campus activities and raising money to donate to charities that promote literacy among young people.
     
  • Math Club
    Creates a community of students who are interested in mathematics with the goal of promoting Math major students and preparing tutors for the tutoring service.
     
  • Orgullo Latino / Latin Pride Club
    Provides campus-wide awareness and appreciation of Hispanic Americans, their contributions and history. Provides outreach programs to encourage Hispanic high school students in our local communities to seek post-secondary education.
     
  • Paralegal Club
    Fosters interest in legal assisting as a career and seeks to provide educational and skill-building opportunities for its members.
     
  • Peer Educators Club
    Provides students with the chance to meet together to discuss common interests, health concerns and other valuable information. The members of this club help to educate the college students and community regarding their total health and wellness (this includes drug and alcohol education, HIV/AIDS and other STD’s).
     
  • Performing Artists Club
    Promotes greater understanding of the performing arts and organizes cultural and social activities related to performing arts issues and themes. Students meet to discuss common interests, concerns, networking and other valuable information.
     
  • Raritan Environmental Action League
    Through education and community projects, the R.E.A.L. Club seeks to positively affect the community and to create environmental awareness and eco-friendly living by making the campus more “green”. 
     
  • The Record Online, the student newspaper
    Through publications, the newspaper provides members of the College community with news pertaining to the College, giving readers the opportunity to publicly express opinion or inquiry and promoting greater social awareness.
     
  • Rotaract Club
    Fosters leadership and responsible citizenship, encourages high ethical standards in business, and promotes international understanding and peace.  The club is affiliated with the Rotary International, an international service organization for men and women ages 18-30.

    SJC raises awareness of social and political issues such as discrimination and various world cultures to facilitate understanding, respect and tolerance to affect positive change within the campus and the greater community. 
     
  • Student Ambassadors
    The Student Ambassadors assist the Student Activities Office in facilitating various promotional activities with the College such as: New Student Orientation, Fall and Spring Commencement, Campus Experience Day, etc.
     
  • Student Nurses Association
    Encourages interest in nursing as a career and seeks to provide educational and skill-building opportunities for its members.

ORGANIZATIONS

  • Alpha Beta Gamma
    Recognizes and encourages scholarship among business, computer science and communications majors at two-year colleges.  The society is a member of The Association of College Honor Societies and has initiated over 65,500 members.  Alpha Beta Gamma is an International Business Honor Society that was established in 1970.  The Delta Omicron chapter was chartered at RVCC in 2006.
     
  • Student Government Association
    The Raritan Valley Community College Student Government Association (RVCC SGA) represents all students. It serves as the voice of the student body and has a serious responsibility to the students and College at-large, particularly in the area of communication. The organization is governed by elected student officers and representatives following criteria under its constitution. The student government is also involved in the process of distributing student activity moneys to student clubs. These clubs and organizations prepare budgets to fund a variety of student activities, such as concerts, films, publications, dances and community service programs.
     
  • Phi Theta Kappa is a prestigious National Honor Society for community and junior college students. Its membership is made up of RVCC students, with at least a 3.50 G.P.A., who are interested in community involvement, academic achievement and social activities.
