All Executive Officers Duties:
  • Check personal and PTK emails at least twice a week
  • Check mailbox at least once a week
  • Attend the two induction ceremonies
  • Assist in writing the Hallmark Award Entries in December
  • Attend one meeting a month
  • Update the Officer journal
  • Adhere to the Phi Theta Kappa Constitution
  • Use office computer to check PTK related mail only
  • Have access to Lion's Den
  • Indicate Office Hours each Semester
  • Keep office clean and organized
  • All outgoing officers must make themselves available to train new officers
  • Must attend at least two new member orientations per semester

  • Answer phone, retrieve phone messages, return phone calls, make sure officers are given messages

Treasurer

Tasks:
  • Present a financial report at each officer meeting
  • Set up a budget request in September
  • Place all records in the official files of the chapter at the end of each academic year
  • Keep track of all transactions (deposits/withdrawals)
  • Handle paperwork so members/officers receive reimbursements in a timely manner
  
Vice President of Leadership

Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations

  • Ensure photos on chapter web pages are current by maintaining contact with chapter Webmaster
  • Send out all promotional flyers and information packets for event
  • Keep in contact with RVCC Webmaster and Public Relations

Vice President of Scholarship

  • Promote and attend every satellite seminar
  • Procure guest speakers for each satellite seminar
  • Ensure a room is reserved and set up correctly for each satellite seminar
  • Advertise current PTK and University Scholarships on campus, website and email
  • Send announcements of deadlines and requirements for University and PTK Scholarships
  • Advertise scholarships offered by our chapter
  • Advertise scholarship related benefits of becoming a member
  • Work with the RVCC Honors Program to coordinate PTK and Honors Program activities
  • Advertise PTK in Honors Classes at the beginning of each semester
  • Coordinate Honors activities with Honors Class Professors (Satellite Seminar Series)
  • Keep a PTK promotional flyer in the office and in all academic and cooperate offices
  • Prepare the Scholarship Hallmark Award entry
  
Vice President of Service

  • Oversee all service activities, incorporating the International Service Project into each
  • Encourage volunteerism and community service from members, officers, and the community

Vice President of Membership
