Campaign Underway to Build Center for Student Life and Leadership  Capital Campaign Video - click here to view To accommodate the dramatic increase in student enrollment and to meet the current trends in education that focus more on multi-discipline integration, Raritan Valley Community College has launched a $2.75 million capital campaign to construct the Ray Bateman Center for Student Life and Leadership. Named in honor of Mr. Bateman, a member of the RVCC Board of Trustees since 1978, Chairman for 26 years, and a distinguished statesman with a long record of public service, this state-of-the-art facility will provide a dynamic environment where students will engage in collaborative learning, information sharing and leadership-skills building. The College held a festive Gala on December 11, 2010 to honor Ray Bateman and to start momentum for the College’s most ambitious campaign in its history. More than 250 leaders in government, business and the community attended the event, including Governor Chris Christie and former Governors Brendan Byrne, Richard Codey, Donald DiFrancesco, Thomas Kean, and Christine Todd Whitman. The campaign is in its initial phase, and we are very encouraged by the expression of support from the corporate and business community, as well as individual donors.
