Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) is hosting an employer workshop on Thursday, March 13, from 9 a.m. to noon, at RVCC?s North Branch Campus. The workshop, ?How to Take Advantage of Skills and Abilities of a Special Employee Market,? is being presented by the Greater Raritan One Stop Career Center.

The workshop includes strategies for how to develop successful working relationships with agencies that connect employers to employees that meet their companies? need. A panel of experts offers information about how to tap into the talents of individuals with disabilities, veterans, mature workers and ex-offenders. Topics include legal issues, available training programs and hiring incentives.

The One Stop Career Center program, supported by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Greater Raritan Workforce Investment Board and operated by RVCC, provides computers, Internet access, online courses and mentoring to qualified participants.
