Raritan Valley Community College?s (RVCC) Corporate & Continuing Education (CCE) division is offering a course in Wine Appreciation. The course will be held Tuesday, March 18, from 7-8:30 p.m., at Discover Wine in Somerville.

Participants are introduced to the basics of wine tasting, including grape varieties and the standards used when describing such characteristics as taste and smell. Those who attend are given a laminated fact sheet detailing the basics of proper wine tasting. Five wines are tasted, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier and Prosecco.
