RVCC BOARD APPROVES TUITION BENEFITS FOR MILITARY FAMILIES
The Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) Board of Trustees has voted to honor the men and women who sacrificed their lives while serving our country in Iran and Afghanistan by providing free tuition to members of their immediate families.
The Board has voted to approve free tuition benefits for Somerset or Hunterdon County residents who are spouses or children of members of the armed forces who lost their lives while serving in Afghanistan or Iraq.
?As a community college, we wanted to demonstrate our support and gratitude to the military families who lost a loved one in Afghanistan and Iraq by providing them with an opportunity to attend college without the financial burden of paying tuition,? said RVCC President Dr. Casey Crabill.
The Board has also voted to provide free tuition to the College?s contract service employees, such as housekeeping, food service and security personnel. To be eligible for this benefit, contract service employees must work at RVCC for six months.
RVCC, located on Route 28 and Lamington Road in North Branch, NJ, and serving Somerset and Hunterdon County residents for close to 40 years, offers more than 80 associate degrees and certificates. In addition, customized training programs and non-credit courses are available for those seeking personal and professional development.
The College is committed to offering a quality and affordable education through effective teaching, liaisons with the community?s businesses and state-of-the-art technology. For further information, visit www.raritanval.edu .
