RVCC TO OFFER YOUTH PROGRAMS IN MANNERS, ETIQUETTE
The Corporate & Continuing Education (CCE) division at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) in North Branch is offering a variety of programs this fall that address proper manners and etiquette for children ages 5-18. The following programs have been scheduled:
Successful College Interviewing : Students ages 16-18 learn that knowing proper etiquette during the college interview process will give them an advantage in the competitive world of college admissions. The class will be held Tuesday, September 18, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The fee is $68.
First Impressions for Mothers and Daughters : Students ages 8 and older develop the awareness and knowledge to present themselves in a positive and confident manner that will empower both mother and daughter to strive for their personal best. The class will be held Wednesdays, October 17 and 24, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The fee is $80 per mother/daughter couple.
Gentlemen?s Guide to Good Manners for Fathers and Sons : Students ages 8 and older spend time with their favorite male role model as they learn the necessary leadership skills to become confident, self-assured gentlemen. The class will be held Thursdays, October 18 and 25, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The fee is $80 per couple.
Etiquette for the Holidays : Students ages 8-17 are shown how to make a good first impression, how to conduct themselves in social situations, and how to be at ease in a formal setting. The class will be held Saturdays, October 20 and 27, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. for ages 8-11 and from noon -2 p.m. for ages 12-17. The fee is $80.
The Little Things We Say and Do : The Mannerly Cat captures the attention and hearts of students ages 5-7 while promoting positive attitudes toward learning and applying everyday etiquette. The class will be held Thursday, October 25, from 4-6 p.m. The fee is $50.
