RVCC FOUNDATION BOARD WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS
Dr. Shabbir Hassan and Michael Murphy have been named to the Raritan Valley Community College Foundation (RVCC) Board of Directors.
Dr. Hassan, a resident of Bridgewater, is a clinical project manager at Schering-Plough in Kenilworth. He has a Bachelor?s Degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Karachi in Pakistan and an MBA from the American University in Hawaii. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Muslim Center of Somerset County and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Alumni Dow Medical College.
Murphy, a resident of Rockaway, is the senior vice president of QuickChek Food Stores in Whitehouse Station. He has a Bachelor?s Degree in Business Administration from Bloomfield College and a Master?s Degree in Marketing from St. Joseph?s University. Murphy is actively involved in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Morris Hills Booster Club.
The RVCC Foundation Board currently includes 25 members drawn from the business and corporate community, area residents, faculty and administration of the College. The Foundation?s mission is to assist the College in meeting the growing educational needs of the community by generating revenue above and beyond RVCC?s tax-based and tuition funding sources.
