Raritan Valley Community College?s (RVCC) Visual and Performing Arts Department will present two one-act plays, October 24-27, at 8 p.m., in the Welpe Theatre at the College?s North Branch Campus. The evening will include presentations of Beth Henley?s Am I Blue and Quartet by Dennis Russo of Little Falls, a member of the College?s Visual and Performing Arts Department.

Am I Blue was written by Henley while she was a student at Southern Methodist University. It's an offbeat comedy that details the chance meeting of a timid college freshman and a precocious teenager who lures him to her ramshackle apartment. The play is being student directed by Timothy O'Neill of Middlesex, a second-year Theatre major at RVCC.

The second show, Quartet , is an original comedy about a group of musicians looking to replace its founding member who was hit and killed by a James Taylor tour bus.

A brief intermission will be held between the two plays. For tickets, at $5 each, call 908-725-3420. For information, call 908-218-8876.
