RVCC TO OFFER YOUTH SCIENCE CLASSES
Raritan Valley Community College?s (RVCC) Corporate & Continuing Education (CCE) division is offering two youth science classes in December for children ages 7-12. The following programs will be held at the College?s North Branch Campus:
Lasers & Optics: Students ages 7-12 put on their own laser light show and see spectacular indoor fireworks while learning about color and light. Youngsters also make their own periscope to take home. The class will be held Saturday, December 1, from 9 a.m.-noon. The fee is $55.
Diggin? for Dinos, Rocking Rocks & Crystal Creations: Students ages 7-12 discover the exciting sciences of archeology and paleontology as they excavate and assemble complete skeletal replicas from fossilized ?rock.? Participants unearth fascinating facts about rocks, minerals and crystals as they create their own rock collection and crystals. Students take home fossil replicas, shark teeth, a rock collection, polished rocks, dug-up treasures and more. The class will be held Saturdays, December 1 and 8, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The fee is $126.
