The Allied Health Department of Raritan Valley Community College?s (RVCC) Corporate and Continuing Education division will hold an Information Session Thursday, January 8, from 6-8 p.m. The program will be held in the Atrium (College Center, lower level), at the College?s North Branch Campus.

More than half of the 30 fastest-growing professional fields are in the healthcare industry. RVCC?s Allied Health Department offers a variety of national certification programs, including Perioperative Nursing AORN, EKG Technician, Phlebotomy/Lab Assistant, Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Pharmacy Technician, Personal Trainer, Dental Radiology and Clinical Research. In addition, online certificate programs are offered in such areas as Spanish for Health Care Professionals, Medical Coder Specialist and more.

The Allied Health Department also will offer a free Orientation to Fitness Training program Thursday, January 15, from 6-7 p.m., in the RVCC Atrium.

The orientation program will provide information about careers in the fitness profession. It will include a brief overview of the industry and professional trends, as well as a Q&A session. Scheduled topics include personal training, group exercise, senior fitness, children?s fitness, fitness management and aqua fitness.
