RVCC FOUNDATION SETS ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER
The Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) Conference Center will be transformed into a racetrack on Friday, April 17, at 6 p.m., when the RVCC Foundation holds its annual scholarship fundraiser, A Nite at the Races . Come join the fun in the Winner?s Circle at the College?s North Branch Campus.
Now in its 12th year, the Foundation?s spring fundraiser has raised more than $600,000 to support scholarships for RVCC students. Guests will approach the rail as Thoroughbreds with a sponsorship that includes reserved seats for the six-race event. Those attending will indulge in cocktails and dinner while placing their bets with complimentary play money, earning the chance to turn their winnings into fabulous prizes.
Table sponsorships begin at $3,500 for 10 guests at the Trifecta level. Other sponsorships?all of which include cocktails, dinner and play money?are Exacta at $2,500 for eight guests; Daily Double at $1,500 for six guests; and individual Jockey at $175. In addition, Handicappers can underwrite activities associated with the event.
Guests are invited to don their best derby hat to place their bets and buy 50/50 raffle tickets. Those attending may also bid on fabulous auction items in the Silent Stakes and win gifts in the Prize Paddock. Emcee Gary Woodring, Chair of the RVCC Foundation Board of Directors, will keep the evening moving by announcing the races and congratulating the winners.
