RVCC SETS SOCIAL WORK, HUMAN SERVICES CAREER SEMINAR
Raritan Valley Community College?s (RVCC) Career Services Department will sponsor a Social Work and Human Services Career Seminar Tuesday, April 7, from 6-8 p.m., in The Conference Center at the College?s North Branch Campus. The program is free of charge and open to the public.
Participants will learn about a variety of careers for Human Services and Social Work majors, including graduates of two-year degree programs. Students will be given the opportunity to interact with professionals in roundtable sessions. Featured topics will include:
* Hiring trends in Social Work for graduates of two-year and four-year degree programs (presented by the National Association of Social Workers/NJ Chapter)
* Careers in private practice (presented by a Licensed Social Worker)
* Careers in alcohol and drug treatment (presented by Somerset Treatment Center)
* Advocacy for the developmentally disabled (presented by ARC of Somerset County)
