The Visual and Performing Arts Department at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) will present the Faculty-Student Dance Concert, Wednesday and Thursday, May 6 and 7, at 8 p.m. The event will be held in the Nash Theatre at the College?s North Branch Campus.

More than 100 students?from beginning levels to semi-professional?will perform in original dances choreographed by both RVCC faculty and students. The concert features many dance styles, including ballet, modern and jazz, and is the culmination of the semester's work in RVCC?s Modern Dance, Ballet, Jazz and Choreography classes.

The program features choreography by guest artist Randy James. A full-time associate professor of Dance at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, James has received the New Jersey Governor?s Award in Arts Education. His piece, ?Among the stars that have a different birth,? is being performed by RVCC students.
