Why can't I add attachments?

You may need to install or reinstall Java, www.java.com.
Also please check to see any popup blockers you are using allow "rvcc.webstudy.com".

There can be as many as four sources of popup blockers.
You may need to find and adjust all four...

  1. Your Web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc.)
  2. Toolbars (Yahoo!, Google, etc.)
  3. Internet security suite (like Norton or McAfee )
  4. Internet access software/toolbars from your Internet Service Provider

Some of our courses use a free browser plug-in "RealPlayer". You may need to install it or reinstall it.
It's available from www.real.com.
Look for a button:

Download the install file to a place you can find it again.
Please be sure to run it to finish the install process.

Question:

What's the correct answer to the annoying Internet Explorer security warning that keeps asking me if I want to view or block insecure items?

Contrary to what your instinct tells you, you must allow "mixed content"!

Answer "No" to a warning that asks to block insecure content.
Anwer "Yes" to a warning that asks to allow insecure content.

You may also reset this manually in the "Security" tab of the "Internet Options" in Internet Explorer.

How do I turn off the annoying Internet Explorer security warning that keeps asking me if I want to view or block insecure items?

You must allow "mixed content".

In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab, and then click the Custom Level button.
In the Security Settings dialog box,
scroll 50% of the way down to the Miscellaneous section,
then the 7th item down "Display mixed content"
If “Prompt” Is selected, change to "Enable".

Click OK in the Security Settings dialog box, and then click OK to exit Internet Options.

Note: After allowing mixed content, you will see webpages with both HTTPS and non-HTTPS content, but Internet Explorer will not show the lock icon.
