Anton Nelessen
is one of the nation's most respected community planners. He has more
than 38 years of professional experience as a professor, author and practitioner
in the fields of planning and urban design. He has been a professor at
Harvard and Rutgers Universities since 1974. His firm, A. Nelessen Associates,
located in Belle Mead, New Jersey, won three Smart Growth awards from
the NJ Institute of Architecture in 2004 and three Excellence in Planning
Awards for the NJ Federation of Planning Officials in 2005.
Mr. Nelessen has developed a concept called the "Computer Commuter," a flexible, demand-responsive van service that makes possible effective public transit in the suburbs. |
