RVCC Computer Labs      

All of RVCC’s computer labs are equipped with Dell Optiplex computers with CD/DVD burners and flat-screen monitors.  All workstations (except those in the networking hands-on lab) are  connected to RVCC’s local-area network.  This allows access to the Internet, Lion’s Den, college email, and network printers.

Open computer labs are in rooms S130 in Somerset Hall and W212 in the West Building.  There are never any classes in these computer labs, and they are open for student use at all hours in which the Technology Services Help Desk is open.  For more detailed information on lab locations, hours and resources, click here.

 Standard software for all Dell Optiplex computer labs (W210, W212, W214, W306, W307, W308, W309, and W310, S130 are all installed with Windows 7.  Microsoft Office 2010 is installed on all lab computers as well. Specialized software used during class time, such as AutoCAD 2010 or Minitab, are also installed in the open computer labs for students. Printing

RVCC offers black-and-white printing services in all computer classrooms and open labs for use by RVCC account holders. These facilities are open on the posted hours.These printers can be accessed directly from all Windows and Macintosh workstations in the computer labs. In addition, students may use the library stations for printing.

For other media printing services like color laser printers, scanners and copiers, color laser printers and scanners are only available for student who are enrolled in multi media class at the media labs located in West building and copiers or xerox machines are only available in the library for a fee.
