Ellen McArdle / Day 10 / Chistes

This activity would be for a conversation and composition class (300 level class). The object of the activity is for each student to be prepared to tell 3 jokes in class. We'll do them one student at a time. The classes are usually small so it will take only a few weeks for each student to tell three jokes.

Instrucciones: Ya hemos leído sobre el sentido de humor en países latinos. Ustedes tienen que buscar por el Internet chistes apropiados para la clase de español. Hay varios tipos de chistes y cada persona tiene que contarnos tres chistes de tipos diferentes. Hay muchos sitios en el Internet donde se puede encontrar chistes. Se puede buscar por Yahoo, escribiendo "chiste" en el blanco donde dice "buscar". Allí va a ver muchos sitios de chistes diferentes. También puede ir directamente a sitios donde dan chistes de muchos tipos en el mismo lugar, o puede ir a sitios donde hay chistes sobre temas como la música.

Cuidado con los chistes. Que sean chistes que la mayoría de la clase pueda entender.

(Instructions: We have read about humor in Latin countries. Your assignment is to search the Internet for jokes that are appropriate for Spanish class. There are various types of jokes and each person has to tell us three jokes of different types. There are many sites on the Internet where you can find jokes. You can search through Yahoo by writing "chiste" in the blank. There you will see many sites with jokes of different types. You can also go directly to sites which have jokes of different categories in the same place or you can go to sites where there are jokes on one theme like music.

Be careful with the jokes. Make sure that they are jokes that the majority of the class will understand.)
