Biography:
Professor Augie Eosso has been teaching Health and Physical Education at Raritan Valley Community College since it opened its doors in 1968 as Somerset County College. The former Director of Physical Education Programs and Facilities, he is a member of the Health Science Education Department at RVCC which now administers all Health and Physical Education classes at the institution. Professor Eosso also served as the College's Athletic Director for thirty-two years and is currently entering his thirty-fourth season as Raritan Valley's Golf Coach. He was instrumental in the development of the Fitness Specialist Certificate Program and most recently the Golf Management Program. Professor Eosso has served as Assistant Region Director of Region XIX of the National Junior College Athletic Association and Treasurer of the Garden State Athletic Conference for more than twenty - five years. He is presently an active member on the New Jersey Governor's Emergency Medical Training Advisory Committee. His teaching responsibilities include Elements of Physical Fitness, Dynamics of Fitness and Wellness, Administration and Supervision of Recreation and Fitness Activities, and Golf.
