Overview of Satellite Teleconferencing
Mike Machnik ext.8223 Kelly Oliver ext.8386

RVCC has two satellite dishes that receive C, KU and Digital teleconference transmissions (virtually any teleconference available). The dishes reside on channel 62 and 63 of the college cable system.

*Most teleconferences are interactive (you can phone in and ask questions). All teleconferences are recorded in the TV studio. You have the option of reserving a room, watching it live and participating or viewing the tape at a later date.

Locations

A satellite teleconference can only be viewed in a room with a cable TV outlet or that is wired for cable.  The following rooms are currently wired for teleconferencing and cable TV:
ATCC-100, ATCC-101, ATCC-102, Community Room, Grand Conference Rooms A, B, & C, C-008, C-010, C-207, S-014, S-018, S-308, Planetarium, E-109, and all CATT rooms.
