It is an electronic Bulletin board
When you subscribe to a listserv you automatically get all the messages that are sent to the listserv
At RVCC we use a listserv named "listproc"

Subscribing to a Listserv

Note: Type what is in bold face

Using pine e-mailprogram type at to: listproc@rvcc.raritanval.edu

The subject and Cc lines should be left blank then type in the message area:

subscribe internav your full name

Ex: subscribe internav Jane Doe

Hit enter key after typing the above line

Now press ctrl and x keys together to send the message, then type "y"

Note: disable or delete your signature file (if you are using pine or elm e-mail program). Pressing ctrl and k keys together will delete a line.

Using pine e-mail package:

Type at send message to: internav@rvcc.raritanval.edu

Subject: Altavista's URL cc:

Now type in the message area:

Help! Does anyone know altavista search engine's http address? Appreciate the help.- Jane Doe

press enter key after the message

Press ctrl and x to send the message, then type "y"

Using Pine type at send message to:

listproc@rvcc.raritanval.edu

Leave the Cc and subject lines blank then type in the message area:

unsubscribe internav

Press the enter key

then Press ctrl and x keys together to send the message then type "y"

Using Pine type at send message to:

listproc@rvcc.raritanval.edu

Leave the Cc and subject lines blank then type:

recipients internav

Press the enter key

then Press ctrl and x keys together to send the message, then type "y". You should get the list in a few minutes.
