A number of academic programs at Raritan Valley Community College now require students to demonstrate Technological Literacy, also known as Computer Literacy. A student may either take an exam to demonstrate competency or take a General Education computer class such as CISY 102 Computer Literacy, CISY 103 Computer Concepts & Programming or CISY 105 Foundations of Computer Science.
This sheet provides information about the Computer Literacy Exam that is available in the Testing Center.
The exam consists of 70 questions to be answered in 90 minutes. Nursing majors require a score of 70% to pass the exam. All other test takers require a score of 77%. The questions are both hands on and multiple choice.
