- The news server we use at the college is news.bellatlantic.net.
Enter it and click next.

- You'll be asked if you'd like to download newsgroups. Choose "Yes."
- A list of thousands of newsgroup names will be downloaded and listed
alphabetically. You should notice a tremendous number of newsgroup hierarchies
that do not belong to USENET.
- You can subscribe to newsgroups by sorting through them individually. When
you find a newsgroup you want to subscribe to, highlight it and click the
subscribe button. An icon will appear to the left of the newsgroup name
indicating that you've subscribed to that group. To unsubscribe, simply
highlight a group you're subscribed to and click the unsubscribe button.
- You can also search via the groups' names. Once you type a search string into the
textbox below "Display newsgroups which contain" your results will
automatically be filtered.

- Once you click OK, a window similar to the following will appear.

- Double click on a message or a thread to view its contents.
