Room 207

Attendees:  Aldao, M., Fontana, K., Ford, D., Gero, D., Liebmann, E., Pickerell, D., Saam, J., Salas, M., Snook, J., Woykowski, R.

1Parking Issues:  Several areas on campus have vehicles that have been towed.  These vehicles have been illegally parked in clearly posted or marked NO PARKING areas.  Complaints can be handled by the Security Department located in the lower level of the Somerset Building near the Information Desk.  Please feel free to stop by Security to discuss the towing rules that prevail for students, visitors and staff alike using our campus parking.

2Identification System:  There is a more advanced Identification System being installed. It is currently a work-in-progress.

3Cell Phones:  The use of cell phone communication system is the preferred method of keeping in touch with staff and students who are out-of-office areas when an emergency situation takes place on campus.  By having your cell phone on the college could provide the most up-to-date information to you whether you are located at the desk or happen to be in the hallways or walking between buildings when the emergency situation occurs. All weather related emergency school closings will use your provided emergency phone number to contact you with information.

 4. The college Intercom System is the preferred method of alerting persons on campus during the regular workday.  This method allows even visitors conducting seminars, etc. using the theatre and other services to immediately be informed about any campus situation and the steps to be taken by them at that time.  This method has a very high percentage of delivery coverage.  The installation of the system is currently listed as a work-in- progress.

5..Cameras: Another work-in-progress for everyone’ protection is the installation of security cameras on campus in critical areas.

6. Security makeovers are also in-progress.  If you experience difficulty or an unsatisfactory response from security officers to a reported security incidence, please take the time to report this to Dale Ford, Security Office at 908-938-1774.

Now all vendor construction company representatives doing work on campus, must first report their presence on campus directly to the Security Office.

 7.  The Right to Know class which is required for some employees and optional for others is scheduled for March 13th.  Please see Reinhold for further information and sign up for class.

 8.  May 22nd on campus will be a emergency drill.
