The meeting was called to order at 12:10pm. 

Lori Petrozzello reported that there had been two site visits so far. County College of Morris and Brookdale were visited. The photos will be reviewed at the next meeting.

Maureen Kennedy reported on the site visit to Brookdale CC. Committee members who attended this visit were Maureen, Lori and Julie Maginn.

Brookdale has a Student Life Center that houses the following:

Bookstore
Convenience Store
Dining Room
Student Life and Activities Offices
Student IDs

They also have a CAR Center for Admissions and Registration which houses:

Admissions and Registration
Cashier, Accounts Receivable
Counseling Offices
Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Office
Financial Aid
Recruitment Services
Testing Services

The administration at Brookdale suggested that there be plenty of upfront planning and to think of adjacencies. Another important requirement is storage.

Lori asked the committee to brainstorm the RVCC College Center requirements. The list of ideas follows:

The committee discussed the need to survey all constitutes of our community and suggested distributing the survey at the forum, cafeteria, lounge, classrooms and focus groups. Possible categories mentioned were: Essential, Nice to Have and Don’t Bother.

The next meeting will be scheduled in January 2008. Lori Petrozzello will send out the meeting notice.
