STUDENT CENTER PLANNING COMMITTEE
JANUARY 29, 2008
MINUTES

Attendees: Maria DeFilippis, Bill Klinger, Christine Doremus, Julie McGinn, Maureen Kennedy and Patricia Richmond.

Action items:

1. Lori Petrozzello - Send out survey to committee members for review and comments. The committee suggested the survey include a section were students can indicate, by day or evening class, which services they will use.

2. Distribution of surveys:
 
• Faculty - Forum and email
• Staff – Email and Union meetings
• Students – The following committee members should contact two faculty members in the identified groups and have them commit to handing out the survey in their class. One class should be on Tuesday at 10:30 AM and one on Wednesday evening. The committee felt these class times would capture more students.

a. VAPA, Social Sciences and Science – Tony Strong & Dennis Russo
b. Business & Computer Sciences – Bill Klinger
c. English & Math – Maria DeFilippis
d. Language/Communications & Health Science Ed. – Julie McGinn

• Student surveys will also be distributed through Student Activities, clubs, sports, the library and the cafeteria.

3. The committee members will share the work of tabulating the survey results.

The meeting adjourned at 1:35PM.
