The public is invited to attend a Criminal Justice Career Night, Wednesday, April 18, from 4-6 p.m., at Raritan Valley Community College. The event, which is free of charge, will be held in the Conference Center (Rooms A & B) at the College’s Branchburg campus.

Hosted by the College’s Business and Public Service Department along with the Criminal Justice Club, the career night will offer current and prospective RVCC students the opportunity to speak with individuals from their chosen career path, including RVCC alumni, in an informal setting and have their questions answered.

Professionals (including RVCC alumni) from all three components of the criminal justice system—Police, Courts and Corrections—will be available for informal conversations in roundtable sessions. Representatives from such organizations as New Jersey State Police; Federal Bureau of Investigation; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms; Drug Enforcement Administration; New Jersey Department of Corrections; Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office; Department of Navy Intelligence; Somerset County Sheriff’s Department; various local Police Departments; as well as private security firms and attorneys are scheduled to participate in the program.

Participants also will learn about how earning a degree at RVCC can be the first step toward pursuing a career in criminal justice.
