Information Sessions for RVCC Cosmetology, Esthetics Programs Set

Learn more about Raritan Valley Community College’s Cosmetology program and its new Esthetics (skin care) program at two upcoming information sessions, April 25 and May 16, both from 5-6:30 p.m. The sessions will be held at the new Cosmetology Salon in the Workforce Training Center at the College’s Branchburg campus.

During the event, prospective students will be able to view and participate in hands-on hair demonstrations, meet the programs’ director, take part in a question-and-answer segment, and apply for either program. Light refreshments will be served.

RVCC’s Cosmetology and Esthetics programs feature an accomplished teaching staff, innovative teaching methods, and opportunities for job shadowing and salon practicum. The programs offer proactive job placement for graduates and other components critical to student success.

According to information from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of hairdressers, hairstylists, and cosmetologists was projected to grow 13 percent from 2014-2024, while employment for skin care specialists was projected to grow 12 percent.
