President’s Welcome

Welcome to RVCC.  These are exciting times at RVCC as the College continues to grow and improve to meet the changing needs of the communities we serve.

Some of that growth is visible in our expanding campus, including the new West Building that opened during the Fall 2007 Semester. The 44,500 square-foot building, located next to the Theatre, is the largest classroom building on campus. The $15 million facility contains 18 classrooms and a multimedia laboratory.

With some 6,500 students enrolled in credit courses every semester and another 13,000 individuals taking advantage of our noncredit professional development and personal enrichment programs, the College is thriving.

We are dedicated to the success of every student. Our students enjoy the benefits of small class sizes, personalized attention and dedicated faculty members who bring real world experience, as well as solid academic backgrounds, to the classroom. Forty-two percent of our faculty members have doctorates or the highest available degree offered in their field of study.

RVCC is a great place for students to start their college education. Our students have transferred to the top colleges and universities in New Jersey and across the nation, including Harvard University, Columbia University, Cornell University, New York University and the University of Pennsylvania.

It’s also a great place for adults to learn new job skills, start on a new career path or just take some courses for personal enrichment. RVCC’s new College for Working Adults enables adults to work full-time and earn an associate degree in just 2 ½ years.  The College also has partnered with leading NJ colleges and universities to offer courses leading to bachelor’s and master’s degrees on our campus through the University Center.

We hope you take advantage of all that RVCC has to offer. Enjoy our outstanding theatrical performances for adults, families and children. Explore the skies in our planetarium.  Register the kids for summer enrichment courses or sports camps, or enroll in courses to expand your own career opportunities.  RVCC is your community college and we’re here to serve you.
