Richard Wellbrock, Chair
Dr. Richard D. Wellbrock, Chairman

Member of the RVCC Board of Trustees since 1985. Dr. Wellbrock, a resident of Watchung, is President of Wellbrock Inc. and Chairman of Hilltop Community Bank. In addition, Dr. Wellbrock is Chairman of the New Jersey Council of County Colleges. He currently serves on the Board’s Facilities/Finance and Policy/Presidential Evaluation Committees.

Catherine McVicker, Vice Chair (Hunterdon)
Dr. Catherine McVicker, Vice Chair (Hunterdon) 

Member of the RVCC Board of Trustees since 1986. Dr. McVicker serves on the Board’s Personnel and Programs Committee and was re-elected as a member of the Board of School Estimate. Dr. McVicker is a resident of Califon.

Paul Hirsch, Vice Chair (Somerset)
Dr. Paul J. Hirsch, Vice Chair (Somerset)

Member of the RVCC Board of Trustees since 1986. Dr. Hirsch is chair of the Policy and Presidential Search Committee and serves on the Board’s Personnel and Programs Committee. In addition. Dr, Hirsch helped launch the establishment of the Institute for Holocaust & Genocide Studies. Dr. Hirsch, a resident of Bridgewater, is an M.D. specializing in Orthopedic Medicine.

Raymond H. Bateman 
Raymond Bateman

Former Chairman of the RVCC Board of Trustees and member since 1979. Mr. Bateman, a resident of North Branch and former State Senator, is President of Public Affairs Consultants in Somerville, New Jersey. In addition, he is past chairman of and continues to serve on the Board of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority.

Shawn M. Clark 
Shawn Clark, First Assistant Treasurer

First Assistant Treasurer of  the RVCC Board of Trustees and member since 2003. Mr. Clark serves on the Facilities and Finance Committee and was elected as a member of the Board of School Estimate. Mr. Clark, a resident of Branchburg, has been a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local Union #455 of Somerset County and surrounding areas for more than 20 years. He currently serves as regional representative of the Local Union.

Joetta Clark Diggs 
Joetta Diggs, Second Assistant Treasurer

Second Assistant Treasurer of  the RVCC Board of Trustees and member since 2001. In addition, Ms. Diggs serves on the Board’s Personnel and Programs Committee. A resident of Hillsborough, she is a four-time Olympic runner. Ms. Diggs was elected Women’s Olympic Team Captain in 2000. As president of Joetta Sports and Beyond, Ms. Diggs delivers high-energy motivational seminars across the country.

Trudy Doyle 
Trudy Doyle

A member of the RVCC Board of Trustees, Ms. Doyle is the Somerset Executive County Superintendent. The Bridgewater resident most recently served as Assistant Superintendent of the Hopatcong Borough Schools and in various roles with the Bedminster Board of Education, including Superintendent, Chief School Administrator, Vice Principal and Curriculum Director. She began her career as a teacher in Staten Island, New York and has also served as an Educational Consultant.

Evelyn S. Field 
Evelyn Field

A charter member of the RVCC Board of Trustees since 1966. Mrs. Field currently serves on the Board’s Policy and Presidential Evaluation Committee as well as the Personnel and Programs Committee. In addition, Mrs. Field helped guide the establishment of The Paul Robeson Institute for Ethics, Leadership and Social Justice. Mrs. Field, a resident of Bridgewater, is a retired librarian.

Dr. John L. McGuire 
John McGuire

Former Chairman of the RVCC Board of Trustees and member since 1986. He currently serves as chair of the Presidential Search Committee and also the Board’s Audit Committee. Dr. McGuire also serves on the Facilities/Finance Committee and Policy/Presidential Evaluation Committees. Dr. McGuire, a resident of Stanton, is President of Ferring Research Institutes.

Catherine McTernan 
Catherine McTernan

A member of the RVCC Board of Trustees since 1994. Mrs. McTernan, a resident of Basking Ridge, currently serves as chair of the Facilities and Finance Committee. Mrs. McTernan recently retired as Chief of Consumer Education for the Office of Consumer Protection for the State of New Jersey.

Dr. Frederic C. Sterritt 
Frederic Sterritt, Assistant Secretary

Assistant Secretary of the RVCC Board of Trustees and member since 2005. Dr. Sterritt, a resident of Neshanic Station, is an orthodontist with offices in Belle Mead, Raritan and Brunswick Valley. He was appointed to the position by the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders and serves as a member of the Board’s Personnel and Programs Committee.

James B. Ventantonio 
James Ventantonio, Secretary

Secretary of  the RVCC Board of Trustees and member since 2005. Mr. Ventantonio, a prominent Bridgewater attorney, was appointed to the RVCC Board of Trustees by Acting Governor Richard J. Cody. He currently serves on the Board’s Facilities and Finance Committee.

Dr. Gerald J. Vernotica  
Gerald Vernotica

A member of the RVCC Board of Trustees, Dr. Vernotica is the Hunterdon Executive County Superintendent of Schools. The Long Valley resident most recently served as Superintendent of Schools for Washington Township in Morris County. He also served as Superintendent of Schools in Mendham and in various administrative roles in Roseland, including Chief School Administrator, Principal and Director of Special Services. He began his career in the Newark School System, serving as a teacher and administrator. Dr. Vernotica is also an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University and Montclair State University.

Robert P. Wise 
Robert Wise, Treasurer

Treasurer of the RVCC Board  of Trustees. Mr. Wise serves on the Board’s Facilities and Finance Committee. A resident of Clinton Township, Mr. Wise is President and Chief Executive Officer of Hunterdon Healthcare System. He is also the President and CEO of the healthcare systems’ member organizations, including Hunterdon Medical Center, the Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation, Mid Jersey Health Corporation and Hunterdon Regional Community Health.

Carrie Rock 
Carrie Rock, Alumni Representative

Alumni Representative to the RVCC Board of Trustees for 2007-2008. A resident of Middlesex, Ms. Rock received an Associate of Applied Science in Restaurant Management from RVCC in 1996 and an AAS degree in Business Management from RVCC in May 2007.
