Fly Me To the Moon (lecture)

 The Planetarium at Raritan Valley Community College will present "Low Energy Routes to the Moon and Beyond," a lecture by Dr. Edward Belbruno, Thursday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m.
Dr. Belbruno is president of the Princeton-based Innovative Orbital Design, Inc., as well as a research collaborator in Princeton University's Department of Astrophysical Sciences.
Dr. Belbruno's work has included applying chaos dynamics to space travel to more efficiently transport unmanned spacecrafts and equipment from the Earth to the moon and beyond. He has worked on NASA's Galileo, Ulysses, Cassini, Magellan and Mars Observer missions. He also helped to rescue Hiten, a failed Japanese spacecraft, and helped place it in orbit around the moon.
Dr. Belbruno is author of Fly Me to the Moon (Princeton University Press). He also holds patents on routes in space and is an exhibiting artist.
