CCE AT RVCC OFFERING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CLASSES IN MICROSOFT ACCESS, EXCEL, WINDOWS
The Corporate and Continuing Education (CCE) division at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) in North Branch is offering a variety of professional development courses in computer skills this month.
Enrollment is still open for a variety of classes in various levels of Microsoft Access, Excel and Windows. The following courses are being offered at RVCC’s North Branch campus:
Microsoft Access Advanced
December 9, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. or December 11, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
The cost is $165 to participate. Course prerequisites are Access Intermediate or equivalent experience. The following topics will be addressed: pivot tables and pivot charts; creating advanced forms; creating advanced macros; Internet integration; MOS exam objectives map; discussing modules and MDE files; creating macros; exploring Access SQL; managing databases; and security fundamentals.
Microsoft Excel XP
December 14, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
The cost is $165 to participate. Course prerequisites are Microsoft Windows Basic or equivalent knowledge. The following topics will be addressed: Excel basics; entering and editing data; modifying a worksheet; printing; MOS exam objectives; using functions; creating charts; formatting worksheets; alternative user input; and web features.
Microsoft Excel - Advanced
December 16, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
The cost is $165 to participate. Course prerequisites are Excel Intermediate or equivalent experience. The following topics will be addressed: working with advanced formulas; lookups and data tables; advanced list management; working with pivot tables; exporting and importing; using analytical options; working with macros; interactive web pages; and MOS exam objectives.
Microsoft Windows Advanced
December 13, 9 a.m.-noon or December 15, 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Cost is $105 to participate. Course prerequisites are Basic or equivalent experience. The following topics will be addressed: customizing the start menu; setting folder options; file and folder attributes; working with network concepts; working offline; and managing printers and print jobs.
