RVCC TO STAGE CHEKHOV FARCES
Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) will present 5 Short Farces by Anton Chekhov, March 27-29 and March 31, at 8 p.m., in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s North Branch Campus.
The staging is part of the Spring Performing Arts Theatre Series sponsored by the College’s Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) department. The production is being directed by VAPA faculty member Dennis Russo of Somerville.
The short farces offer a rare comic side of the legendary Russian playwright known for such dramas as The Seagull and The Three Sisters.

Technical direction is being handled by RVCC adjunct faculty member Mark Bloom of Bloomfield and Emily McGregor of Bridgewater, a Technical Theatre major at the College. Carly Bennett of Flemington, an RVCC Technical Theatre major, is acting as stage manager.
