RVCC SETS PERSONAL TRAINER CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
The Allied Health department of Raritan Valley Community College’s (RVCC) Corporate & Continuing Education (CCE) division is offering a Personal Trainer National Certification program this spring. The course will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 6-June 12, from 6:30-9:30 p.m., at the College’s North Branch Campus.
According to abcnews.com, a personal trainer is the fourth hottest job in the US. The 50-hour program presents all of the information necessary to become a Certified Personal Trainer. It includes 15 hours of lecture, 15 hours of practical training and a 20-hour internship. Topics include biomechanics, exercise physiology, fitness testing, equipment usage and health assessment.
