New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards for Astronomy (Adobe PDF)
This version of the New Jersey Astronomy Standards is organized by strand
(A. Earth, Sun, Moon System, B. Solar System, C. Stars, D. Galaxies & the Universe)
so it is easier to see the vertical articulation from grades K to 12.

State Testing: NJ ASK4, GEPA & HSPA

The State of New Jersey will be testing all students in grades 4, 8, 11 on their knowledge and understanding in the content area of astronomy.

More information from the NJ Department of Education.

Our workshops and Teacher In-Service days are designed to help teachers gain a better understanding of the basic concepts in astronomy and to give them the tools to teach astronomy successfully.
