International Student FAQs: SEVIS Fee Information
SEVIS Fee Purpose:
The purpose of the SEVIS fee is to cover the costs for the continued operation of the Student and Exchange Visitor Program including maintenance of SEVIS, compliance activities and the establishment of SEVIS Liaison Officers.
SEVIS Fee Collection and Payment: $200.00 for F-1 students
Students have the option to pay with a check by mail, or with a credit card via the Internet.

I-901 Form: Form for paying the SEVIS fee must be completed online, and either, submit payment online with a credit card (and print a receipt) or if not using a credit card, complete the form and print a payment coupon, which is to be mailed in with a check.
- Check by mail:
Complete the I-901 form and print a payment coupon. Mail the payment coupon and a check for the $100.00 SEVIS fee.
