RVCC Students to
Stage Gurney Play
RVCC’s
Visual and Performing Arts Department will present a student theatre
production of A.R.
Gurney’s Overtime, November 14-17,
at 8 p.m., in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s North Branch Campus.
Overtime
is a modern sequel to Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice. The
production is suitable for audience members age 16 and older.

Student Theatre Production on Gurney Play
Honor Society to Host
Holiday Fest
The public is
invited to attend Holiday Fest 2007, Saturday, November 17, 10 a.m.-3:30
p.m., at RVCC’s Conference Center. The event, which is being sponsored
by RVCC’s chap ter
of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, will feature a wide
variety of vendors selling a diverse selection of gifts and
services—from handmade jewelry and exclusive pictures frames, to pet
supplies and henna tattoos.
All proceeds from
the
event will be donated to The Well Project’s AIDS Awareness Campaign and
to a local animal shelter.

Arts Department will present its annual Holiday Art Show and Sale,
November 27-30, in the Art Gallery at the College’s North Branch Campus.
The show/sale will feature a varied display of
ceramics created by RVCC’s students, instructors and alumni.

The RVCC Student
Jazz Ensemble will perform in concert Thursday, November 29, at 8 p.m.,
in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s North Branch Campus.
The group will
perform original arrangements by suc h composers as Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, Horace
Silver, Ken Smith, Rogers and Hammerstein, Louis Jordan, Miles
Davis, Oliver Nelson, and Tiomkin and Washington.
