RV Lives Campaign: Our goal is to raise $100,000 by Thanksgiving, 2020, in support of RVCC students!

Amid the stress and gravity of a global pandemic and major cuts in state funding to RVCC, our community lives, innovates, persists, and moves forward with a particular focus on the lives of its students, all of whom have been impacted, in both large and small ways. The RV LIVES campaign is 100% dedicated to supporting our students in this unprecedented era, where every convention, practice, rule—and family—have been challenged.
We know students and their families have lost work and will struggle to afford tuition, rent, food, and other basic living expenses. Some are dealing with health-related direct hits to their families. This critical fundraising effort seeks to provide relief and resources for our students, to help them through the disruptions of COVID-19, and to keep them on track toward attaining their educational goals.
RV LIVES will be the repository of donations—small and large, far and wide—all sharing the common desire to help our students, especially those with unique challenges, to continue to succeed. It will address a diverse range of needs, including:

  • technology and equipment challenges facing students as they transition to online learning;
  • increased scholarship support (including the new Emerging Heroes Nursing Scholarship);
  • food insecurity and related issues;
  • emergency fund to address new and unanticipated daily hardships.

RV LIVES will be administered by leadership across the College, with representation from faculty, alumni, Student Life, the RVCC Foundation board, and the President’s Leadership Team. Funds will be used for immediate student challenges as well as those we anticipate throughout the 2020-21 Academic Year.
The fundraising campaign will be a virtual, digital effort, with a web-based platform to receive and securely process donations—both financial and in-kind—from individuals, foundations and corporations.
We ask you to consider helping our students now, at a time when they need your support most. We ask that you be a part of RV LIVES. That you join us as we work together to keep RVCC students on track to realizing their education goals and upward advancement in their lives. Their RV LIVES.
