The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes living alumni for their exceptional achievements in the following areas: professional successes; civic contributions within their local community, state or nation; academic accomplishments, service to RVCC, and/or personal triumphs. Nominees must have received a degree or certificate at RVCC and must be able to attend the Awards Dinner to accept the award.

The Raritan Valley Community College Alumni Association awarded Jesse May, RVCC Class of 1994, with the Distinguished Alumni Award. May, of Skillman, is the Chief Development Officer for Northwestern Mutual - Princeton, NJ. May is a certified coach, in addition to possessing several securities licenses (Series 7, 4, 24, 63, and 66 with FINRA) and Life and Health Insurance Licenses. May, who graduated from RVCC in 2004 with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, attributes much of his success to his time at Raritan Valley Community College. “My engagement and focus on academics was not as strong in high school, but the opportunities I had at RVCC provided a better landscape to harness my success. The things I learned during my time at RVCC, combined with my life experiences, have helped to distinguish me in my career.”
