Virtual Information Sessions Set in April

Learn about all Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) in Branchburg has to offer by participating in a Virtual Information Session in April. The College is offering Virtual General Information Sessions, as well as special virtual sessions for its Automotive, Cosmetology and Esthetics programs.

Virtual General Information Sessions have been scheduled for April 3, 10-11 a.m.; April 8, 3-4 p.m.; April 17, 10-11 a.m.; and April 23, 3-4 p.m.

During the sessions, RVCC Admissions specialists will provide information about:

• Enrolling in Summer Sessions or the Fall 2020 Semester

• Programs designed to help students transfer to top colleges and universities in New Jersey, across the country, and even in Europe

• Career training programs in high-demand fields that have been designed in partnership with local industry

• Financial aid options and scholarship opportunities

• Free tuition for those who qualify, through RVCC’s participation in the New Jersey Community College Opportunity Grant (CCOG) Program

Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions during the sessions.

A Virtual Information Session for RVCC’s Automotive Technology program will be held April 2, from 3-4 p.m. During the event, prospective students will have an opportunity to learn about the innovative and successful program and explore the exciting career potential in the field of automotive technology. The Auto Tech program offers Subaru, Ford, Chrysler, or Toyota manufacturer’s training, enabling students to command a higher salary when they graduate. Students in the program earn additional industry credentials from Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS), Snap-On, Procut, NC3, Lift-it-Right, and other industry partners, allowing them to stand out to potential employers.

RVCC will offer a Virtual Information Session for its Beauty Professions programs on April 14, from 5-6:30 p.m. During the virtual session, participants will learn about RVCC’s programs in Cosmetology and Esthetics (Skin Care), as well as the new Make-up Designory (MUD) courses. Participants also will have an opportunity to ask their questions about the programs. RVCC’s Cosmetology and Esthetics programs feature an accomplished teaching staff, innovative teaching methods, and opportunities for job shadowing and salon practicum. The programs offer proactive job placement for graduates.

The $25 application fee will be waived for prospective students who participate in any of the Virtual Information Sessions.
