Through the generous gifts of individuals, organizations, corporations and businesses, the RVCC Foundation is able to award $300,000 annually in scholarships to help to defray the cost of tuition, fees and educational supplies for students who lack the resources to pay for college.
There are several options available to provide scholarship funds for deserving students at RVCC. Your support will have a huge and enduring impact on the lives of our students.
General Scholarships are created when resources are combined from many donors. Contributions in any amount may be given at any time.
Specific Areas of Study
Donors may choose to allocate their gift to support scholarships in particular areas of study, such as nursing and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs, the arts, advanced manufacturing and workforce development programs, and more.
Donors can establish a named scholarship in one’s own name or in honor of a family member, friend or colleague as a way to celebrate their legacy. Memorial Scholarships may be established to honor the life of a loved one who has passed away; family and friends are often invited to make contributions to this fund. We ask for a minimum, financial commitment of $10,000 for named scholarships to ensure continuity of funding. A donor may make a pledge to contribute to a named scholarship fund over a period of several years.
