“The Sky Above” show includes music, laser lights, stories, and information about the planets, the Moon and constellations. Content is presented on a kindergarten level.

Rockin’ Rocket Ride, Saturday, April 28, 3 p.m.
Put on your space suit and blast-off into outer space to visit the Moon, Sun and planets. A lively experience for young people with selected music from "Journey Into Space" by Jane Murphy. (recommended for ages 3-8)

Storybooks in Space, Saturday, April 28, 4 p.m.
Enjoy story time in the planetarium as we learn about the stars and planets. (Recommended for ages 4-8)

Astronomy Tonight, Saturday, April 7, 7 p.m.
Using the Planetarium’s DigitalSky digital theater, experience a guided tour of the night sky. Learn about some of the popular constellations visible from sunset to sunrise, as well as the stories behind them. Hear about how and where in the sky to find the brightest planets. Weather permitting, the 3M Observatory will be open after the show. (Recommended for ages 8 to adult)

Natural Selection, Saturdays, April 14, 21, 28, 7 p.m.
Join the young Charles Darwin on an adventurous voyage of exploration circumnavigating the world with the HMS Beagle.  Witness the thrill of scientific discovery by seeing the world through Darwin's eyes, make observations of the most beautiful natural scenery, and let the pieces of a scientific puzzle slowly but surely fall into place.  Allow Darwin himself to reveal this simple and most beautiful mechanism that explains the evolution of all life on Earth: natural selection, the single most wonderful idea anyone has ever had. (Recommended for ages 10-adult)

Themes from some of your favorite movies have inspired this NEW laser concert, including Raiders of the Lost Ark, Pink Panther, Star Wars, and Beverly Hills Cop. (recommended for ages 6-adult)

Laser Coldplay, Saturdays, April 21, 28, 8 p.m.
Listen to Coldplay’s hits including “”For You,” “Clocks,” “and “Viva La Vida” while lasers draw pictures on the dome overhead.
