Scholarship Funds

Through the generous gifts of individuals, organizations, corporations and businesses, the RVCC Foundation awards more than $300,000 annually in scholarships to help to defray the cost of tuition, fees and educational supplies for students who lack the resources to pay for college.

There are several options available to provide scholarship support for deserving students at RVCC. Your support will have a huge and enduring impact on the lives of our students.

General Scholarships
General Scholarships are created when resources are combined from many donors. Contributions in any amount may be given at any time.

Specific Areas Of Study
Donors may choose to allocate their gift to support scholarships in particular areas of study, such as nursing and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs, the arts, advanced manufacturing and workforce development programs, and more.

Named Scholarships
Donors can establish a named scholarship in one’s own name or in honor of a family member, friend or colleague as a way to celebrate the individual’s legacy. Memorial Scholarships may be established to honor the life of a loved one who has passed away; family and friends are often invited to make contributions to this fund.  The RVCC Foundations asks for a minimum, financial commitment of $10,000 that can be made of several years to ensure continuity of funding for the named scholarship.
