Raritan Valley Community College’s Medical Assistant program has been named one of the “40 Most Affordable Medical Assistant Certificate Programs for 2020-21” by MedAssistantEDU.org.

“MedAssistantEDU.org did a deep dive into the tuition rates of every CAAHEP- and ABHES-accredited medical assistant certificate program in the U.S. in search of the most affordable options. When we came to Raritan Valley Community College in New Jersey, we could tell we were looking at a winner,” said Sean Reed, Senior Editor of MedAssistantEDU.org.

“With a tuition rate that comes in at below the average cost of similar programs at private schools in the state, the Raritan Valley Community College Medical Assistant Certificate easily earns its place on our list of the 40 Most Affordable Medical Assistant Certificate Programs for 2020-21,” continued Reed.

According to information from MedAssistantEDU.org, the number of jobs in the medical assisting profession is expected to grow by 23 percent in the 10-year period leading up to 2028.

Administrative skills include coordinating and scheduling patient appointments, receiving and processing patients in the office, preparing and maintaining patient records, coding and filing health insurance claims, and performing bookkeeping tasks.
