RVCC, Ramapo College Sign Transfer Agreement for Students Interested in Studying Business

Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg and Ramapo College of New Jersey in Mahway have entered into a new agreement that will facilitate the transfer process for RVCC graduates interested in attending the Anisfield School of Business at Ramapo College.

According to the agreement, students who receive an Associate of Science Degree from RVCC can seamlessly transfer to Ramapo College as long as they fulfill certain requirements, including having the requisite grade point average. The application fee also will be waived for students transferring from RVCC.

“The new agreement with Ramapo College will give Raritan Valley Community College graduates the opportunity to continue their higher education close to home and focus their business studies in such areas as Accounting, Economics, Finance, International Business, Information Technology Management, Management, and Marketing. In addition, RVCC students interested in transferring to Ramapo will benefit by having a staff member from Ramapo’s Center for Student Success available for student advisement on the RVCC campus,” said RVCC President Michael J. McDonough.

“Ramapo College and the Anisfield School of Business are very excited to establish this relationship with RVCC, and we are committed to working closely with RVCC students as they advance their education and develop as scholars and professionals,” said Dr. Ed Petkus, Jr., Dean, Anisfield School of Business, Ramapo College of New Jersey.

The Anisfield School of Business at Ramapo College of New Jersey offers a distinctive combination of an accredited business education and a strong grounding in the liberal arts. Students receive solid professional preparation in their fields, and they understand the role that business plays in the wider socio-cultural context. ASB graduates enter the professional world as creative, enlightened thinkers, and their careers are characterized by a blend of business success and social responsibility. ASB is accredited by AACSB International--the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

The Anisfield School offers seven undergraduate majors: B.S. in Accounting, B.A. in Economics, B.S. in Finance, B.S. in Information Technology Management, B.A. in International Business, B.S. in Management, and B.S. in Marketing. The school offers minors in Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Information Technology Management, International Business, Marketing, Human Resources, and Entrepreneurship. The Anisfield School offers two graduate programs: a 4+1 MBA and a 4+1 M.S. in Accounting.
