Members of the community are invited to attend an Alumni, Career & Transfer Event, November 3, from 4-7 p.m., at Raritan Valley Community Center. The event, which is designed for prospective students of all ages, individuals exploring new careers, and those looking to transfer to a four-year institution after graduating from RVCC, will be held in the Conference Center at the College’s Branchburg campus.

Many RVCC faculty members will be present to discuss their academic programs. Programs focusing on such areas as Human Services/Pre-Social Work, Substance Abuse Counseling, Criminal Justice, Education, Paralegal, Liberal Arts, and Arts & Design will be highlighted. Participants will be able to learn about the programs, as well as possible career and educational paths after graduating from the College.

RVCC alumni who have successfully transferred to four-year colleges and universities will speak during a panel from 5-6 p.m. The alumni will share their educational and career experiences after receiving their degrees from RVCC.

Representatives from a number of transfer institutions, such as Centenary University, Rutgers University in New Brunswick and Newark, Rider University, and Kean University, will available from 4-5 p.m. and from 6-7 p.m. to discuss students’ options regarding transferring to a four-year college after graduating from RVCC.

In addition, those attending will learn about all RVCC offers from representatives from such College offices as Admissions, Career Success & Experiential Learning, Transfer Counseling, and the Resource Center.

There is no charge for the event and participants do not need to register in advance. For additional information about the Alumni, Career & Transfer Event, contact Karen Gutshall-Seidman, Program Coordinator for Human Services/Pre-Social Work, at karen.gutshall-seidman@raritanval.edu.
