The public is invited to attend a ?Plant the Seed of Love for UNICEF? Spring Fair Sunday, April 19, from 1-4 p.m., at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC). The event, sponsored by RVCC?s Education Club, will be held in the RVCC Gymnasium at the College?s North Branch Campus.

The fair will offer information about monarch butterflies and participants will be able to plant milkweed seeds to use for a monarch butterfly garden at home. Those attending also will be able to create planters from recycled containers and may receive one free tree seedling per family (supplies are limited) to plant at home in order to help the environment.

Other family-friendly activities planned include: sensory tables, storytelling, juggling, country line dance lessons, singing and signing, art projects, games and more.

Suggested donation is $5 per family. All proceeds will go to UNICEF. Non-perishable food items, to be donated to a local food pantry, will be accepted in lieu of payment. For additional information, contact Lisa Hartpence, lhar3973@mail.raritanval.edu . To RSVP, call 908-526-1200, ext. 8313.
