Title IX Compliance

Welcoming and Inclusive Campus Environment

As outlined in its policy on Sexual Harassment and Title IX, Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) is committed to creating and sustaining an welcoming and inclusive working and learning environment that is free from sexual harassment and sex-based discrimination for Students, Faculty, Administrators, Staff and Campus Visitors and all members of the College community.

Education and Training

Through regular college-wide training and proactive measures, RVCC is committed to promoting and building a welcoming environment. The College encourages students, faculty and staff to learn about sexual harassment, a hostile working and learning environment and its various forms and how sexual harassment affects their campus and the society in which they live.  Training is provided for all new employees and students through Vector Solutions (Safe Colleges). 

All incidents or perceived incidents of sexual misconduct/harassment and/or discrimination can be reported through the Bias & Discrimination Incident Report form, or can be reported to either the Title IX Coordinator or Deputy Coordinator by email, mail, phone or in-person. A report may be considered a formal compliant when it is a document or an electronic submission that contains the Complainant’s physical or digital signature, or otherwise indicates that the Complainant is the person filing the formal complaint. The formal complaint instead may be signed by the College’s Title IX Coordinator, but in that case, the College’s Title IX Coordinator is not a complainant or otherwise a party to the complaint.

Annual Security Report

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, known as the Clery Act, is a federal law that requires Raritan Valley Community College to provide students and employees with information about its security policies and procedures, and disclose specific statistics for certain crimes, arrests and disciplinary referrals, which must be made available to prospective students and employees.
